When touring New York, President Jann Goodsell (LM # 60) was welcomed by Jack Miller (LM #219) of Assembly #14, Syracuse, NY. Assembly # 14 is aptly named for Jack Miller.
Jack was known for his philanthropic work in magic. He usually supplied a trick or two for all of the members at an assembly meeting. He would always be available to any magician that needed help.
Jack was also extremely active in the IBM. He recently retired as the Dealer Chairman of the IBM. Convention.
As an avid supporter of NYCAN, he was the Chairperson of the 2001 NYCAN. The attendance has fallen in recent years precluding the probable demise of NYCAN, as we know it.
Jack told me that NYCAN started in Syracuse and it will probably end there.
Jack died a few short months after the 2001 NYCAN. He was 80 years old.
